My name is Louisa Woods, and I am an author. I have been writing for as long as I can remember, right back to short stories and poems, some of which were published in the local Bristol Evening Post, when I attended junior school.
My mother too was a prolific writer and encouraged me from a very early age to love reading and writing, and I was a library member when I was three! I have written a great deal of historical fiction, but this is my first novel to be published.
I have been married to Richard for 26 years, and we live in Lincolnshire with our three beautiful cats, and I enjoy long walks on the beach and in the countryside.
We travel frequently to Great Yarmouth where my novel Saving Sam is set, and I have deep interest in the towns history, its people and the ancient rows, which barely now survive, though they gave me inspiration. I wanted to take the readers on a trip back in time, away from the modern town and 21st century, and back to a time when life was simpler.
